Dough
2 cups of All-Purpose Flour
½ tsp of Salt
1 cup unsalted butter (cut into cubes)
¾ cup of Cream Cheese
⅓ cup of Sour Cream
Filling
Your Favorite Jelly Spread (Raspberry, Strawberry, or Apricot)
1 TBSP of Cinnamon
½ Cup Raisins
1 Cup of Chopped walnuts
¼ Cup of Sugar
For Chocolate
¼ Cup of Sugar
½ Cup of Chocolate (chocolate chips, or broken chocolate pieces)
¼ Cup of Oil
1 TBSP of Cinnamon
½ Cup Raisins
1 Cup of Chopped walnuts
Let’s Make the Dough!
Add the ingredients into a ball or food processor. Blend until your dough your mixture becomes crumbly.
Divide the dough up into 2 portions and place it in the refrigerator for 3 hours (or even overnight).
When it is time, Remove the dough and roll it onto a lightly floured surface. Roll the dough until it is ¼ inch thick.
Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees (F)
Time for the Chocolate Filling
Melt the Chocolate and Oil together.
Once it is smooth, gently spread onto the dough.
In a separate bowl, mix sugar, cinnamon, and raisins together.
Drizzle over the dough, sprinkle chopped walnuts over the top.
Now the Jelly Filling
Spread on your jam to the dough.
Top with walnuts & raisins
Rolling Your Rugelach
Using a sharp knife or a pizza cutter, cut the dough in vertical lines.
Begin to roll the dough to the desired size.
When all the dough is rolled, you can sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on top.
Bake at 350 for around 25-30 minutes until they are golden brown. Remove from the oven
And cool for 10 minutes. NOTE: SUGAR IS HOT when removed from the oven so please let it cool.
